What are the System Requirements for infoRouter?
infoRouter is highly scalable and operates on
industry-standard platforms. The basic configuration is one web server, one
database server, and an indefinite number of devices for storing the data
repository. These may be servers (up to 100) or a high-speed data array.
We recommend using dedicated servers for the Web Server and
Database Server, but many of our customers use machines that are also being
used for other purposes.
End-User client: Any Internet ready PC with a browser. 128MB RAM (512MB or more recommended)
Web Server: Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.x, Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 with 1 GB of Memory or higher,
running Microsoft Internet Information Server.
Database : We recommend using a scalable industry standard database engine such as
MS SQL Server 7.x, 2000 OR Oracle 8i or higher OR MySQL 4.1.14 or higher.
infoRouter can also be implemented using MSDE. MSDE is a bundled (free) version of MS SQL Server.
MSDE is ideal for low-traffic environments and does not require licensing for server and client access.
However, we only recommend MSDE for testing purposes or very low-traffic environments with few users.
