A new feature introduced in infoRouter version 7.5, is the ability to store email documents in infoRouter. Emails are read-only documents which means they cannot be checked out or edited. Once they are published into infoRouter, they are automatically assigned a built-in system custom property called "Email" so they can be searched for and found easily.

How to create email documents:
Email documents can get into infoRouter in three ways:
  1. MS Outlook Integration
  2. infoRouter Email Scanner
  3. Email document upload through the web services API.
Using the MS Outlook integration, emails can be sent directly into infoRouter. The MS Outlook email format (.MSG) is converted into the industry standard .EML format and published into infoRouter.

The infoRouter Email Scanner product is a stand-alone product that can be configured to check POP3 email accounts and publish incoming emails directly into infoRouter.

If you have an in-house email system from which you wish to import emails, you may do so by using our web services API to publish thrid part emails into infoRouter.
