To edit an infoRouter document, you must first check it out. When you check out a document, infoRouter locks the document to you but still allows others to view the document. |

You can easily spot Checked Out documents because they appear RED
in color in the document list.

To check a document out, perform the following: |

| Now that the document is check out to you, click on the document to download it to your workstation. | |||
Once you make the desired changes to the document, you must "Check In" this document into infoRouter. Checking In a document will release the document lock and create a new version of the document. This is how version control is accomplished in infoRouter. |

To check a document back in: |

Notice that by default, the "Send Mail to Subscribers" is checked. If you feel
that you have more work to do with this document and would not like to notify
users just yet, then check the "Interim release, Do Not send mail" box. |

| Force "Check In" : |
|||
|
Force "Check In" is a special right that allows a user to undo a check out
performed by another user. This action unlocks the checked out document,
allowing other users to check this document out and make changes.
In order to be able to Force "Check In" a document, you must be the owner of the document, have "Full Control" rights, or be either the System Administrator or a Library Manager. |
