This scenario describes how one company has used infoRouter to store, manage, and distribute scanned documents as searchable web content.
Scanning Scenario 1:
- As illustrated in the figure below, the customer used a high-speed scanner to scan in multiple paper documents.
- Using a software solution from Kofax, the scanned documents are processed into images with associated meta data.
- The images are kept as images or they are converted to PDF documents. The associated meta data is also supplied in the form of a separate file using a naming convention to match the two documents.
- Using the infoRouter API, the document/meta data pairs are submitted to infoRouter.
- The scanned document becomes a searchable document inside infoRouter.

Scanning Scenario 2:
- As illustrated in the figure above, the customer used a high-speed scanner to scan in multiple paper documents.
- Using a software solution from Kofax, the scanned documents are processed into images with associated meta data.
- The images are kept as images or they are converted to PDF documents.
- The associated meta data is also supplied in XML format using a naming convention to match the two documents.
- infoRouter automatically imports the matching pairs.
- The scanned document becomes a searchable document inside infoRouter.
